DESCRIPTION:Amateur (ham) Radio Licensing Class\nPresented by Los Angeles Emergency Communications Group (LAEMCOMM)\nThis one day class will prepare you to take your FCC Technician Level License Exam that same afternoon. The instructor will also discuss how Ham Radio can be used everyday as well how to use in disaster or emergency situations. \nClass is open to everyone with no age limits\, attendees must be able to read and write in English. Those with special needs should contact the event organizer in advance for classroom accommodations. \nCost is $30 (plus fee of $3.46). Register via EventBrite. \nSome pre-study required\, study materiel will be emailed to all registered students and must be printed and brought to class\, no exceptions… \nPerfect for: \n\n\n\nEOC\nEMD\nPolice\nFire\nFirst Responders\nUSAR\nCERT\nScouts\nand other community members and organizations\n\n\n\nPlease do not contact the Fire Station or LAFD about this event\, they will not be able to answer any questions.
