DESCRIPTION:One-Day Ham Radio Technician Class & Exam\n\nThis one day class will prepare you to take your FCC Technician Level License Exam that same afternoon. The instructor will also discuss how Ham Radio can be used everyday as well how to use in disaster or emergency situations. \nClass is open to everyone with no age limits. Attendees must be able to read and write in English. Those with special needs should contact the event organizer in advance for classroom accommodations. \nSome pre-study required. Study materiel will be emailed to all registered students and must be printed and brought to class\, no exceptions. \nThis class will be held in the West San Fernando Valley. Address will be sent to all registered students. \nCost is $45 and includes exam fee. Please pay and register via Eventbrite. (Please note that Eventbrite charges a handling fee of $4.37.) DESCRIPTION:  \nOn Saturday\, May 11\, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\, all Neighborhood Fire Stations* in the City of Los Angeles will be expecting your visit. \nTo increase community awareness of Fire Department services\, the Los Angeles Fire Department designates the second Saturday of each May as Fire Service Recognition Day. \nDuring our 2019 Open House\, we are honored to provide personal tours of YOUR Neighborhood Fire Station and highlight the commitment of Los Angeles Firefighters in assuring the safety of those they are sworn to serve. \nSome stations will have enhanced displays\, and a few will continue their open house to Sunday\, May 12\, or be open only on Sunday.
