As you probably know, a week ago we experienced the effects of a geomagnetic storm event caused by solar activity. The event affected several things including radio communications and in some cases delivery of internet and cell phone services. Since communication is important in time of emergency, I thought it would be a current topic we should discuss. I’m not sure if we will have a speaker who can address the topic. I’ll know more later this week. I have seen lots of information on the web probably due to the recent event.
So, let’s all do some research and see how events of this type might cause us to modify our ideas on how to communicate during emergencies.
