Community Festival & Preparedness Event with 5k Run

April 1, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Kennedy Cares Festival

School is closed today, so we’re hosting a Community Festival & Preparedness Event with 5k Run.

John F. Kennedy High School will host the first annual Kennedy Cares Festival on the Kennedy High School campus. The purpose of this event is to provide outreach to the community, share information regarding the various programs offered at Kennedy HS and provide information regarding schools in and out of the Kennedy Complex.

Our Challenge LA team will be providing a civic duty and signing up community members to participate in the 2020 Census.  In addition, our Girls Build LA organization will be leading a voter registration campaign. Most importantly, we will have an opportunity to share in some fun with our community.  We will have a 5k run for all community members and district staff to participate in, carnival games, food trucks, and prize giveaways.

Limited parking is available in the school parking lot at the southwest corner of Simmons Ave. and Gothic St. Additional street parking is available.

Event flyer here.
